SIMONE PÉRÈLE – 75 YEARS OF INNOVATION

[ 13. February 2024 ]

Caterina Group presents the historical exhibition “75 years of innovation by Simone Pérèle” as a part of the dreams by CPM exhibition.

We invite you to a unique exhibition, dedicated to the iconic French lingerie brand Simone Pérèle, which recently turned 75 years old.

Following Simone Pérèle history, you will see the development of the entire industry, observe unique pieces of lingerie from the middle of XX century, and learn a lot about the technologies, which have changed the lingerie world.

Iconic French lingerie Maison, Simone Pérèle, celebrates 75 years of passion, innovation and excellence. When its founder, a corset maker, opened her atelier in 1948, she had a vision: to revolutionize the landscape of lingerie with new designs never seen before. She listened to women, sought to understand them deeply, and then created pieces that empowered a woman to be herself truly and unapologetically. To embrace her natural shape, ignite her selfconfidence and feed her desire for

Beauty inside and out. That is how Simone managed to win the love and trust of her customers, first in France and then around the world.

As women’s needs evolve and shift, so does their lingerie. As early as the

1960’s, Simone Pérèle sensed women are changing style interests to feel feminine and free. The pointy cups of the “Soleil” model, crafted from nylon lace, was just the thing to awaken women to a new kind of lingerie. The model would later be the catalyst behind fashion inspirations of renowned designers, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier.

During the 1970’s amidst the feminist revolution, Simone Pérèle’s iconic “Pétale” bra spoke to women with its seamless, invisible, wireless silhouette. In the early 2000’s, Simone Pérèle introduced “spacer” technology to the market with the launch of its Andora Collection. The innovative three-dimensional (3D) knit revolutionized comfort and fit with its soft, breathable, second-skin cups.

It took no less than three years to perfect the first 3D Spacer bra, but the Pérèle family believed in it. They knew it would change the landscape of lingerie and bring a new level of comfort and well-being to women who were eager for something new—and it did. Andora bras became iconic, and remain as best-seller.

An excellent example of the popularity of a brand among the younger generation when singer, Dua Lipa, took the stage of her Australian concert tour in November 2022 wearing the iconic ‘’Wish‘’ Demi bra as the centerpiece of her outfit. More recently, actress Zendaya graced the pages of Elle USA magazine wearing the limited edition ‘’Hortense‘’ Demi under an open leather jacket.
